NSW:Sixth NSW road death lifts Xmas toll to 27

The New South Wales holiday road toll has risen to six with the death of a 27-year-old
man in Sydney's southwest.

Police say he was thrown from his car and killed about 7.30 last night when he veered
off Bensley Road at Ingleburn and crashed into a large boulder.

Later in the night a three-car crash on the F3 freeway at Wahroonga in Sydney's north
left an elderly couple in critical condition in hospital.

Victoria heads the national holiday road toll with 10 dead .. Queensland has seven
.. NSW six .. Western Australia two .. and the ACT and Tasmania one each.
