Fed: Kerr says refugee case a triumph for rule of law
The High Court has upheld key elements of the federal government's tough stance onasylum seekers.
The court has ruled a 35-day time limit for review of decisions made by the RefugeeReview Tribunal is valid.
It's also upheld a section of the Migration Act preventing judicial review of certainrefugee decisions.
The government introduced the 35-day measure following the Tampa standoff in 2001.
