This attractive and extremely informative book is copiously illustrated with documents, maps and charts, photos and drawings. It is the best Scandinavia-oriented genealogy guide this editor has seen; it's a good read even if you are not looking for relatives. Written by two well-known Swedish genealogists, it is a joint publishing project between MyFamily, Inc., of the United States and Genline AB in Sweden. Genline's Swedish Church Records Online archive consists of photographic-quality images scanned from microfilms of original church records from the 16th through the 20th centuries. When finished, this archive will contain more than 40 million pages and be the only complete source for Swedish genealogical research on the Internet.
